The new Create Your Taste menu at McDonalds #yeg

Create Your Taste menu at McDonalds

Long gone are the days of the yellow swivel chairs and limited choices when it comes to your burger. Yesterday McDonald’s launched their new Create Your Taste Menu, complete with table service. In a competitive market where having the perfect burger is key, the burgers are made to order and take 7-10 minutes to make. McDonalds has definitely stepped up their game and is clearly on the top of the list when it comes to quick service Gourmet Burgers.

Choose your bun

I chose the Artisan-Style Bakery Roll as my bun, but also was able to try the Black & White Sesame Seed Biroche- Style Bun (Delicious!!!). Don’t want a bun? Get it wrapped in lettuce or just get the burger!

Choose your toppings

Crumbled Blue Cheese, Swiss, 2 choices of Aioli, Guacamole, Sundried Tomato, Pesto, Hickory smoked bacon, there are nearly 30 choices of toppings.

My burger

Angus Beef Patty, Swiss cheese, Smoky BBQ sauce, Chipotle Aioli, pickles, grilled mushrooms, lettuce & Hickory smoked bacon pieces. Is your mouth watering yet??

New desserts

Maple Danish loaf, brownies, Lemon loaf , Butter croissants, and my favourite the Strawberry cheese danish. Can’t choose? No problem! You can get them boxed up in quantities of 6 to go.

The cost

The base price is a little over $7 and goes up from there depending on your choice of toppings and if you want to include a drink and side (fries, poutine, or salad)

Where to get the Create Your Taste experience

I was at the McDonalds in Glastonbury located at 6215-199 Street. There are 11 restaurants featuring the new Create Your Taste menu across the region.
