This weekend bring the family down to Churchill Square for the Symphony in the City Concert, a free event that is put on by the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra.
Sing along to some of the most popular and your most favourite Disney songs. This year’s music will feature songs from The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Frozen, The Jungle Book and more.
Symphony in the City Schedule
Performances will take place on both Friday and Saturday night starting at 7:00pm. Before the concert starts there will be family friendly activities such as face painting, balloon animals, as well as a instrument petting zoo where you can get up close and personal with the instruments used in the performances.
Family friendly activities start at 5:00pm on Friday night and 3:00pm on Saturday. The performances will start at 7:00pm on both nights.
Seating is on a first come, first serve basis and because the performances are taking place on the square it is suggested that you bring your own chairs to sit in.
Low back beach chairs are preferred, however if you do bring chairs with a high back you will be asked to sit in the back to not obstruct others views. You can also bring blankets or tarps that are 6’x3′ for an individual and 6’x6 for a couple.
Food + drinks
You are able to bring your own food + drinks in coolers that are no bigger than 22″ long x 15″ high x 15″ wide. Food vendors and concessions will be onsite selling food and refreshments.
