Save money on your grocery bill with the Wecan Food Basket

The Wecan food basket can help you save money.

I feel like every day someone is posting in a Facebook group about budgeting their grocery bill better, how to make money stretch, being creative with food. Heck I even have a whole pinterest board dedicated to my grocery budget. It’s on everyones mind! However, it really suprises me how many people still don’t know about the Wecan food basket program. (They have been around since 1993)

It’s not the food bank and it’s not for any particular group of people, it is for anyone and everyone to utilize. Basically it is a large pre-buy which makes the groceries less….by like an amazing amount of money.

How does the Wecan food basket program work?

First of all you need to purchase a membership for $5. The membership year runs from April -March. Every year memberships are up for renewal in March.

Next you place your order. Orders are placed at the beginning of the month and are generally due by the first Friday of the month. Pick ups are generally the third Thursday or Friday at your chosen pick up location. See where your closest location would be here.

Choose from 3 Wecan food basket options

Fresh meat basket – $15 (3 cuts of fresh meat – generally .5kg beef, chicken & pork)

Fresh produce basket – $10 (3 seasonal fruits & 3 seasonal vegetables)

Complete meat & produce basket – $25 (Everything mentioned in the above baskets)

You can order as many of the baskets as you want, although they will be duplicates. You also do not have to commit to purchasing every month.

Want to become a member and get in on this awesome money saving option? Contact WECAN @ 780-413-4525 for the full details!
