This weekend we went camping with Kris's sister and her family. Each family made one dinner and one breakfast and Kris's sister made Raisin Bread French Toast. What made it even better was cinnamon sugar to sprinkle over top…it was like a cinnamon bun for breakfast. So delicious, and so easy to make.
What you need
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon (optional)
- 1/2 tsp Nutmeg (optional)
- 8 slices of raisin bread
- White sugar/cinnamon mix – equal parts use your choice of amounts
Directions
- Whisk eggs and milk together to create egg mix
- Add Cinnamon & Nutmeg to egg mix (optional)
- Heat up greased pan
- Dip bread in egg mix and fry in a frying pan
- Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mix and/or syrup.
- Eat and enjoy!
Make these ahead of time
If you are looking for quick breakfast ideas, these are great to make ahead of time and to freeze. Just grab from the freezer and pop in a toaster.
This was a hit with the kids and of course with the adults and they are on my list of freezer meals to make ahead of time.
