It’s my third week doing the Five on Friday post and I have been getting such a good response from it, so thank you to everyone that has been reading.
1. I am excited to tell you about 2 other blogs that will be joining me for the Five on Friday posts! Check out Two Fun Moms Five on Friday post today. Starting next week Product Junkie will also be joining this link up. Please hop on over to their blogs to see what awesomeness they are sharing! #fiveonfriday
2. Yesterday we went ‘back to school’ shopping for Carter and we quickly realized that all the shoes that fit him were ones that needed to be tied. I (we) have to teach him to now tie his shoes! How do we do this? Please spam me with what worked for you and your kids. Or something that didn’t work. Does the bunny go around the tree? In the bunny hole? I should not be stressing about this but for some reason it’s consuming more of my thoughts than it should..
3. I am obsessed with watching wedding videos on YouTube. So much that I wrote a post about it a few months ago. Last weekend I came across this and I. LOVE. IT. Check it out. SO GOOD!!!
4. This recent post about Breast Milk. I just love expanding my knowledge. (Don’t worry this isn’t posted because I am trying to say “Breast is Best” I believe in the “To each their own” theory…I just LOVE learning new things)
It’s amazing how the human body can supply that many things to a baby. “According to Hinde, when a baby suckles at its mother’s breast, a vacuum is created. Within that vacuum, the infant’s saliva is sucked back into the mother’s nipple, where receptors in her mammary gland read its signals. This “baby spit backwash,” as she delightfully describes it, contains information about the baby’s immune status. Everything scientists know about physiology indicates that baby spit backwash is one of the ways that breast milk adjusts its immunological composition. If the mammary gland receptors detect the presence of pathogens, they compel the mother’s body to produce antibodies to fight it, and those antibodies travel through breast milk back into the baby’s body, where they target the infection.”
5. If you are in Edmonton or surrounding areas mark your calendars for the Education Stations Warehouse Sale. If you haven’t been before, I am telling you that it’s worth it.
