Painting your pumpkin teal

Are you painting a pumpkin teal this Halloween? The Teal Pumpkin Project was started in 2014 by FAREThe goal is to promote awareness and inclusion for all trick-or-treaters on Halloween. While the initiative was started in the U.S. it is making it’s way through Canada, and many people have already started participating.

If you have a teal pumpkin in front of your house, that let’s trick or treaters know that you are handing out non food treats. If your child has allergies it is also suggested that they wear a teal ribbon to show that they have allergies.

Want to know more about painting your pumpkin teal or do you want to take the plunge? Check out the FARE website which also includes free printables for posters, flyers, stencils for pumpkin carving, and colouring sheets.
