A Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe for the books

I have been making this recipe for over 10 years and it has taken me through holidays, birthdays, and even when we just needed a sweet treat. Follow this simple recipe and you too will get to enjoy the only Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe that you’ll even need!

Ingredients
- 1 cup room temperature butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 1/4 brown sugar – firmly packed
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 3 cups of milk chocolate, chocolate chips
Directions
- Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
- In a large mixing bowl cream butter and sugar in a bowl
- Beat in eggs and vanilla
- Sift together flour and baking powder, baking soda and add to the mixture
- Stir in chocolate chips
- Shape into balls 1 1/2 inches in diameter on an ungreased cookie sheet
- Bake in oven for 8-10 minutes- or until edges are light and brown
- Take out of the oven and let cool
