I am down 5lbs. While this is not huge – it’s pretty darn good! But then the flu hit and all it took was 1 week of a flu to kibosh any routine or plan that I had. However, before I let it get the best of me and create a motivation slump I am grabbing my motivation by the horns, giving it a good shake, and being proactive with these plans!
Specifically for the gym
I am a running shoe wearing mama for pretty much everything. I figured it was time to purchase some shoes specifically for when I work out at the gym. I also purchased some work out clothes and they are packed in my bag ready to go.
Making a schedule
Kris and I recently started using an app called The Hub and we have been planning my workout days and times through that. What works great for me is that GoodLife Fitness is a 24 hour gym and therefore I can leave to go and work out after the kids go to bed, heck I can go at 2am if I really feel like it.
Making a meal plan
This is a big one for us. With the holiday season upon us we are bound to have options of tasty treats everywhere we go. While practising self restraint is important, we also need to plan our meals to make sure we are eating healthy and well balanced meals at home.
What about you? If you have had to get yourself back into a routine how did you do it? I would love to hear what is working for you!
Also, make sure you check back next month to see how I did with these plans in place!
