5 Kid & Family Friendly runs in Edmonton

Kid & Family Friendly runs in Edmonton, the amount that are open to have kids join with their family in or have special runs just for kids have been growing in popularity. Rightfully so because they are tons of fun AND also encourage physical activity starting at a young age well into your senior years. Over the next few months there are several taking place and you will find 10 of those listed here. (Yes I know this is more than 5 this Friday – think of it as a 5×2 Five on Friday 😉

Spring into Sprinkles 5K – April 30th
Rundle Park
Family friendly –  Raise money for Girls on the Run Council in Edmonton
12 and under can run with a chaperone
Receieve a cupcake when you cross the finish line

Run for Pie Kids run – May 1st
Rundle Park
Raising money for Music Therapy at the Stollery Children’s Hospital
Sundae and Mini Cupcake Bar for kid participants

Sport Chek Mothers Day Run, Walk, and Ride – May 8th
Hawrelak Park
Little Legs  – Free for kids 2-4 that have paid parent in the run, walk, and ride.
Kids welcome in Run, Walk, and Ride. Ages 5 & up/Bike must be a two wheeler
Raise money for Stollery Children’s Hospital

Lions Park
Allows young people ages 4-12 to participate in their first marathon
