Looking for new beaches to explore? Ol’ MacDonalds Resort is a beautiful day trip location for the whole family. Located on Buffalo Lake, it’s a 1.5 hour drive South of Edmonton.
Things to do at Ol’ MacDonalds Resort
You can spend the day on the beautiful beach, explore the resort and take in one of their many other activities offered. Visit the farm animals, take in a game of mini golf ($), ride on the merry go round ($), or go on a hay ride ($).
Food, snacks, and more
Pack a picnic lunch, grab a bite to eat at their onsite restaurant or both! Don’t forget to get one of their famous cinnamon buns while you are there though.
Get your caffeine fix at their onsite coffee shop and visit the candy store for that sweet tooth. Snacks and an ice cream shop are also located on the beach.
Admission + getting there
Ol’ MacDonalds Resort opens at 9am and day use fee’s are affordable at $3/adult, $2/child, or $10/carload. Pay your admission at the front office.
To get there from Edmonton take Highway 2 to Lacome, go East on Highway 12 to Alix, take a left on Highway 601 and follow the signs to the resort.
