9 Holiday Light Displays around Edmonton that you need to see

One of my favourite things to do during this time of year is to look at holiday light displays around Edmonton.

Holiday Light Displays

Grab a hot chocolate, put on some Christmas music and go for a drive! It’s a magical experience for all of us and one that the kids will remember for years to come!

Holiday Light Displays around Edmonton + area

Candy Cane Lane

Drive down Candy Cane Lane, park and walk it or book a hayride! You might see Santa walking around and there is a place to mail your letter to Santa!

St. Albert

There are a few places in St.Albert that have beautiful lights but my favourite is Elliot Place which has a whole crescent decorated.

Alberta Legislature

Lights are on December 1st-23rd and it’s beautiful. Every day there are also choir performances (see schedule here) on the Legislature rotunda’s grand staircase.

Christmas at Bobs

We discovered this beautiful location last year and it’s now going to be one of our go to every year houses. Located in South Edmonton this is one house you have to put on your list!

Leduc Country Christmas Lights

With 5 acres of Christmas lights, weekend Santa visits + hot chocolate the drive is definitely worth it for us!

Canadian Pacific Holiday Train

This holiday train will be in Millet & Leduc on Dec 7th and in Josephburg and Edmonton on Dec 8th! Enjoy some live entertainment while you view the decorated train which spans 1,000 feet.

Christmas in Edmonton

Located in West Edmonton, this is another house that we discovered last year! They’ve added ‘Let it Go’ to the light show this year and still have all the other great Christmas songs!

Greenland Garden Centre

Grab a hot chocolate from their in-house restaurant and take a stroll to see some of the best-decorated trees around! Upside down trees, unique ornaments, beautiful displays and more.

Enchanted Forrest

Located in Fort Saskatchewan go on a holiday tour of The Dow Centennial Centre, Shell Theatre, City Hall and the Public Library to see all of the fabulous trees.

Do you know of any other holiday light displays that should be added to this list? Send me an email to anotheryegmommy@gmail.com

The residents on Grande Boulevard in Summerside also do a pretty wonderful job of decorating the street. It is worth a drive or stroll down.

Have you ever heard of a Lollipop moment? It’s the realization that we ALL have the opportunity to change the world and be leaders every single day. This is something that is hard for most of us to even consider because when most people think of change or leaders, you think it has to come from somewhere grandiose. I’m guilty of thinking this too, and it’s something that I actively work towards changing every single day. Here’s to celebrating more of the Lollipop moments. Feel free to tag someone in the comments who has had an impact in your life.
