Road trip stop overs: Eleanor Lake Park, Blue River, B.C.

If you are headed to B.C. via Jasper this summer Eleanor Lake Park in Blue River B.C. is one stop that you need to make!

When we made the drive to Kelowna, this was one stop that my mom wanted to check out as it had been a beach that she had visited with her family when she was younger. We weren’t really sure what to expect so when we saw the lake we were pleasantly surprised.

Nestled in the back of the town Eleanor Lake Park is a beautiful clear lake that offers a small beach, a dock to swim to, a pier that’s perfect for jumping off of and a slide that’s fun for any age!

Pack a picnic or bring something to bbq at one of the picnic tables on the beach and take some time to enjoy this hidden gem.

Staying the night

If you’re looking for a place to stop over on your way to or back from B.C, Blue River or Valemont offer some decent hotels. While you’re there you can also check out the River Safari too.
