Sylvan Lake Water Park closed last summer
Christa says
The new aqua splash park is floating out on the lake. The waterslides are no longer there but this new one is neat!

Allan beach closed years ago. Repeated drownings and high fecal content in lake.
Brandi says
No, it’s open. I went there last summer. Allan Beach is at Hubbles Lake.
Chelsea says
Hubbles lake resort is in fact open and has been since 2016. Hubbles lake is also one of the cleanest lakes in Alberta and has testing to prove it from the Ft. Saskatchewan watersheds alliance. It is spring fed and crystal clear. There are no motorized boats aloud and no seaweed or algae. I would swim in this lake over any other in our area.
Sheri Algeo says
Hubbles Lake resort is private but Allan beach resort is reopened for public day use and is a perfect place for families. You’re correct on how clean this lake is and always has been!!
Renee says
For the record, I got the worst case of swimmers itch I’ve ever had, in this lake, last summer. If you’re proned to swimmers itch, don’t swim here!!
Jill says
FYI, a good tip for preventing swimmers itch is to put Vaseline on exposed skin so the parasites are unable to attach and burrow into the skin.
Lynn Hoffman says

We go every summer and have for at least 5 years now. The kids have all jumped from the rope on the bridge and the whole family, aunts and uncles with physical restrictions too, everyone, has participated in numerous river floats without a single concern. And that’s at least 4 floating devices tied together, seating a total of 15 sometimes. Never an injury, only hours upon hours of fun. Just have to pay attention.

In RedDeer you can go to Discovery Canyon it reopened last year and it is free to go there. You can rent an tube for five dollars for the day or take your own. Picnic area and a concession.

Ma Me O Beach at Pigeon Lake is gorgeous. It has a lovely sandy beach and clear water with a sandy bottom. We go there with the kids every summer. Only 1 hour south of Edmonton off of Hwy 2 then west on Hwy 13.

I would not include the lions park in fort Saskatchewan. It sucks
