As a parent who is always looking for activities during the summer that doesn’t break the bank, Michaels Camp Creativity summer camps are a great way to offset some of the other more expensive stuff.
Recommended for kids ages 3+ Michaels Camp Creativity sessions are taking place every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, July 3rd-August 18th from 10am-12pm. Priced at $5 per session or at a discounted rate at 3 for $12 this is definitely an affordable summer activity!
Michaels Camp Creativity weekly themes
Featuring Disney family crafts for the 7 weeks each will feature new crafts and every week will bring a new theme which are:
Week 1 – Winter Wonderland
The first week will feature an Olaf and snowflake craft with Perler beads, Olaf mask, and snowflake, as well as a snowflake wand.
Week 2 – Princesses and friends
Make a Beauty and the Beast and other princess crafts, crowns, Princess inspired Perler bead crafts, Seven Dwarfs out of toilet paper rolls and more.
Week 3 – Safari creatures
Safari theme crafts will include animal puppets, lion ears, Perler Bead paw prints, and binoculars.
Week 4 – All about me
Tell the story of you and your family this week. Crafts will include pet crafts and painting, toilet paper roll heroes, home picture frames, and more.
Week 5 – Classic Characters
From Mickey + Minnie Perler bead crafts, making your own of mouse ears, picture frames and more.
Week 6 – Ocean Adventure
This week will bring and Octopus pencil holder, Nemo, and Dory face masks, Perler beads crafts and more all inspired by the movie Finding Dory.
Week 7 – Outdoor fun
Make your own Disney-inspired dice and frisbee, a fun pompom launcher, princess inspired bird feeder and more.
Every Friday will also be Face Paint Fridays and throughout the 7 weeks, kids can create their own Camp Creativity journal to document all of the fun that they’ve had.
