This week brings so many outdoor movies, fun community events, and more! What will you do this week?
Watch Hawaiian dancers and catch a movie downtown – The first of 4 Movies on the Square events start this week and the movie is Moana. To celebrate A Hawaiian Holiday Polynesian Dance and Drumming Group will be performing.
Join the Reptile Party – All summer long Kara Family Resource Centre offers free programs for kids. They’re fun and kids and parents will have the chance to make some new friends.
Go for lunch at Jacks Burger Shack – Kids eat for $8, and the food is delicious. Plus the shakes make for a cool treat. Join them for lunch 11am-2:30 pm!
Pick free fruit around Edmonton – With over 22,000 fruit trees available check out the new City of Edmonton Fruit Trees map and check where you can find apples, cherries, pears and saskatoons.
Make sandcastles & play water games – Join Amity House for their weekly Family Park Nights and join in on the beach theme this week at G. Edmund Kelly Park 15005-79st
Check out your local library for fun summer programs – With fun programs like the TD Summer reading program and prizes to be won here at the Edmonton Public Library fun is only a book away. (Plus enter to win a set of TD Summer Reading Club Books includes the 10 top reads from the TD Summer Reading club)
Join fun games, sports, crafts & more – All available at your community Green Shack and best of all it’s free. Kids 6-12 are welcome to attend on their own, kids 6 and under must be supervised by a parent or guardian.
Watch Smurfs the Lost Village at the Drive-In – Back for their annual summer drive-in movies, join St.Albert Centre for their $2 kidzone before hand and then cozy up and take in all of the awesomeness that is the drive-in.
Jump in a Bouncy Castle and get some exercise – Shop for your favorites at the Callingwood Farmers Market and attend the Circut Training class. A special mini-kids circuit will be set up for them to join into!

See some amazing costumes – Maybe you’ll see a Pokemon? Animeathon is happening all weekend and going there to see the costumes doesn’t cost a thing. If you want to check out more weekend passes are $45/each and kids 12 and under are free, however, grab your passes quick cause they sell out.
