We’ve been watching many of the classic movies from my childhood with the kids, and the witty fairy tale, The Princess Bride is included on that list.

On May 19th, bring the whole family to watch the funny fairy tale of Buttercup and the journey that brings her to her one true love at La Cite Francophone’s beautiful outdoor bowl.
This movie under the stars event is a fundraiser in support of Spark! Youth Camp! Admission is by donation, with a suggested price of $10/person. Admission is on a first come first serve basis!
Spark! Youth Camp is an interdisciplinary arts camp that takes place on Edmonton’s Alberta Avenue. Students from the age of 7-14 participate in a two week camp from July 3th-15th, in which they create their own theatre production from the performance, technical and design perspective. The students also participate in workshops that introduce them to a large variety of artistic disciplines. Past workshops have included Sculpting, Improv, Movement, Poetry, Stage Combat and Clown.
Warm drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase from Cafe Bicyclette. Purchase of popcorn, fresh baked treats and candy will go directly to supporting Spark! Youth Camp.
The Princess Bride is set to start at sunset, which is about 9:30 pm, make sure you come early to guarantee yourself a seat and also to check out the silent auction that will be happening prior to the movie.
