This past weekend was Alberta Open Farm Days and we explored some farms South of Edmonton while driving a Ford F-150 Platinum.
Where We Went With The Ford F-150 Platinum
Our plan for the day was to go to Sunny Hill Alpacas/Twisted Sisters Mill and then go from there once we knew how much time we would have.
The kids love Alpacas so they loved visiting this farm! While there we learnt about what happens after the Alpacas are sheared, saw the Alpaca fibres made into yarn, and saw some awesome products made from Alpaca fibres.
After we were finished we checked out the Alberta Open Farm Day website (which has a convenient Plan My Trip feature) and decided to check out New Mars Dairy.
Here we took a tour and saw where cows are milk, baby calves which were just days old, and learnt all about running a dairy farm. After we were finished with the tour we enjoyed some delicious yogurt!
What We Loved About The Ford F-150 Platinum
One of the things that I will always talk about is if there was enough room for car seats and how many. The Ford F-150 had the perfect amount of room for both Finley’s car seat and Sophie’s booster seat. Carter is no longer sitting in a booster seat, however, I did try the other booster that we have and it would have fit perfectly with 3 across.
Just like the Ford F-350, there was enough room for Kris to have his seat back for him to be comfortable (tall people problems) and the kids still had enough leg room! The interior is also very much the same as an F-350, just a tad bit smaller but still giving you the feeling of quality and luxury no matter what model you choose.
We had so much fun exploring these places on Open Farm Days and can’t wait for our next Ford adventure!
