This weekend you’re invited to visit your rural neighbours at Alberta Open Farm Days!
Alberta Open Farm Days 2020
Taking place on August 15th & 16th at various locations across Alberta there are many things to see and experience with the family however, there are also some changes that have been made.
To ensure that everyone can safely socially distance and for farms to meet AHS guidelines all attendees will need to schedule their farm visits online.
- Visit the Open Farm Days website and check the farms’ profiles. The website has options to filter based on area and certain activities. **Make sure you double-check the time and date**
- For any of the farms that you are interested in visiting you can click the “add to the trip” button and it will be added to your list. If you are choosing to visit more than one farm the website will also create a map with directions for your trip too.
- When you’ve added all of the farms that you want to visit the list you will then need to click on the scheduling button (see below) and it will take you to a website called “Farmzy” where your schedule will be finalized.
What’s Happening Around Edmonton?
This year over 80 farms are opening up their farms for tours and there are several options around Edmonton. This includes Northlands Urban Farm, Great and Small Adventure Farm, Alberta Wheat Pool Elevator, Good Morning Honey, Prairie Gardens and Putting Horse Ranch just to name a few.
