Recently I drove down to Granary Road with my 2 oldest kids for a sneak peek of some of the new additions that have been added for the 2021 season!
Granary Road Is Open For The Season
Located in Foot Hills County just outside of Calgary, Granary Road has 36 acres of adventure which includes 11 large-than-life interactive and fun exhibits and 3.5 kilometres of pathways.
Some of the new features that have been added this year include a tractor train ride which will take you on a tour of the whole property, a goat walk, and a few newly added zip lines throughout.
Shop The Farmers Market
This year, Dunvegan Gardens, 40,000 sq ft greenhouse is open as well as the state-of-the-art Aquaponics Centre will help to provide the freshest produce! With several shops and food stops to choose from, shopping locally has never been easier!
Get Your Tickets
The Granary Road Active Learning Park is open 7 days a week, 9 am-5 pm.
Admission tickets can be purchased online via the Granary Road website or can be purchased through the gift shop that is on-site. The cost for day admission is $13+tax for ages 3yrs and up! Children 2 and under are free!
If you are planning on visiting Granary Road a few times this season, you can also purchase individual, family, and guest season passes. Prices vary depending on what you choose, get more details here.
One of the questions that I have been asked quite a bit is how safe I felt.
When accessing the Active Learning Park you will be provided with an information sheet that gives you details on how each of the exhibits can be accessed.
At each of the exhibits, you will find sanitizing stations, as well as markers on fencing with red tape that encourage social distancing. Dedicated staff are also walking around the park with sanitizer backpacks spraying the exhibits and high touch areas several times a day.
Granary Road takes the safety of your family very seriously and continues to work very closely with AHS to ensure this.
