Ice on Whyte – How to have the most awesome family experience

Ice on Whyte

Ice on Whyte is taking place on January 21 – 24 & January 28 – 31, 2016 (Thursday-Sunday). Hours of operation are 10am-10pm on all days. The festival takes place at the end of Steel Park on Gateway Blvd & Tommy Banks Way and the entrance is located in the southwest corner of end of Steel Park (Gateway Blvd and Tommy Banks Way).

Tickets can be purchased ahead of time to avoid the line up!
Buy tickets today. (I love the idea of the family pass!!)
General admission: $7

Child (3-12): $4
Family Pass (2 adults, 2 kids): $20

There is FREE parking at the Old Strathcona Farmers’ Market parking lot on Gateway Blvd (the one on 103st) as well as on 85 Avenue (except for during market hours) Parking is not available at Strathcona Centre Community League.

Take a ride or 7 on the Ice slide. Dress in layers so you can take off a layer if you get too hot!

On both Saturdays & Sundays at Ice on Whyte you can take the Sleigh Ride shuttle around Old Strathcona! 

From L’il Chipper Ice Carving lessons, crafts, table games in the CTV tent and so much more, your family has tons of stuff to do and to choose from! See the calendar of events and their scheduled times here

FREE skating takes place every day of the festival 2pm – 10pm. Don’t have skates? Don’t worry! There are skates that you can you use there for FREE as well! (First come first serve) 

If you are planning to go on a Saturday check out the Old Strathcona Farmers’ Market from 8 am to 3 pm.
