While there are new movies coming out quite frequently there is still nothing like watching some of the classic movies. The singing, the dancing and even the story lines. These are 5 movies that we have been watching with the kids.
5 Classic Movies
Mary Poppins
It all started with this movie. We have downloaded the soundtrack and the kids ask to watch this movie all the time. Sophie loves to sing “Feed the Birds” and both the kids love when Mary Poppins helps the kids clean their nursery.
Bedknobs and Broomsticks
Another movie with singing, dancing, and animation. And the fact that this movie also included magic is captivating for the kids. I mean who wouldn’t love to travel on a magic bed?
The Sound of Music
Carter recently learn the Do Re Mi song and that is what prompted us watching this movie. It’s a movie that my Aunts family watched every Christmas when I was younger and at the time I couldn’t really understand why. Now I love the movie!
Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
The song words ‘Chitty Bang Bang Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Chitty Bang Bang Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Chitty Bang Bang Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’ got stuck in my head randomly before watching this with the kids and now it’s stuck in my head twice as much.
Petes Dragon
A story of escape and one that has a dragon! This is the first movie I watched that had a dragon that wasn’t scary. And the best part. Disney just announced that they are remaking this movie!
