I am reliving my youth next month and attending the Family night and Perogy Supper at my old stomping ground, the Ukrainian Centre. Some of my fondest memories were made at this Ukrainian Centre and I am so excited to be able to now share this experience with my family.
Taking place on March 19th you will enjoy a catered supper with 2 kinds of perogies, sausage, salads and dessert. After dinner you will enjoy a floor show of Ukrainian dancing, some of the best in my biased opinion – and come on – tiny kids Ukrainian dancing. Who can resist the cuteness?!!? A cake walk and dance will follow.
Haven’t heard of a cake walk before? It’s so much fun! Every person that want to join brings a cake or baking with them and also pays $1 to participate. There are numbers on the floor and you follow the numbers while music plays. When the music stops a number is picked and if you are standing on the number you get to pick a cake. Easy as that. It’s fun and it’s another fond memory!
