FREE Cone Day might not be happening in Canada. Call it a little bit of a lesson learned from the past vs. I just want to give my readers the most current information available but here’s what I have found so far.
Nothing on the website
After seeing a Canada wide blog shared on a friends Facebook about FREE Cone Day I did a simple Google search. It brought me to the Dairy Queen website BUT there was nothing about free cones in Canada only in the U.S.
No mention on Social Media
Dairy Queen hasn’t made any mention on their Canadian Twitter or Facebook accounts. There are however, several posts from people asking or talking about how disappointed they are that it’s not available in Canada.
Picked up the phone
I called several Dairy Queen’s here in Edmonton. The first several either said ‘we haven’t heard anything’ or ‘probably not’. The last one I called said that word from head office is no. There is however a promotion March 14th -21st where if you buy a blizzard you get the second one for .99¢.
So is it likely that there will be a FREE Cone Day on March 14th? I guess we will see, but honestly I am not holding my breath.
