A simple & easy DIY: No slip socks

No slip socks

When you live in a house with hardwood and laminate flooring the floors can get a little cool at times as well as slippery. Finley has just started walking and Carter & Sophie are known to run around our kitchen and living room.

I always encourage the kids to wear socks and ones with grips on the bottoms are the best. The problem however, is actually finding socks with grips. The ones in Finn’s size can be found but not always, for Carter & Sophie grips on the bottom of their socks are almost near impossible to find and sometimes they are slipping more than the newly walking baby!

I do however have a solution to this though and it’s a cheap and easy fix. I no longer need to spend my time scouring the isles for socks with grips on the bottoms because I’m making no slip socks myself and you can too!

What you need for no slip socks

Directions

Puffy paint is machine washable and lasts a long time. You definitely are not limited to just doing this on kids socks! On the bottom of kids tights, home made slippers, or even for someone who doesn’t want to go barefoot during a yoga class. Even someone who has stairs with hard wood or laminate could make some for everyone in the house or for guests. These DIY no slip socks are definitely a game changer for me!
