Make a plan
Booking time to go and work out is imperative for me. Having a husband that has a busy work schedule and a mom of 3 kids everything is scheduled. This includes the times that I go and work out. 7am, 3pm or even 3am (thank god for a 24 hour gym) making the time commitment is important.
Work towards a goal
As a person who is always into counting down to things and working towards goals, it’s important for me to have a goal when going to the gym too. Whether it’s being able to run on the treadmill for 20 minutes, increasing the weights amounts that I use, or to loose 50 pounds – goals are important.

Going to a group exercise class the get’s you dancing or signing up for an adventure race like the GoodLife City Chase are great ways to keep things exciting and avoid exercise monotony.
Menus
You can do all the physical work but if eating habits don’t compliment the exercise it’s a continious circle. Just like having goal when working out, goals are important to me when meal planning. Include more fresh vegetables, drink more water and planned indulges are some of mine.
Regardless of how you make getting to the gym a priority in your life it really is important to make it a lifestyle, not a duty. What are some of your goals?
