A week with the Ford C-Max Hybrid SE

Ford C-Max Hybrid SERecently I had the chance to review the Ford C-Max Hybrid SE. With so many great things about this vehicle I can see why it’s the choice for many people and families!

The inside

With options to control the temperature on each side, cup holders for your morning coffee, a lighter adapter for a charger thats very accessible, and easy to navigate buttons the convenience speaks for shows itself.

There is also a 100V/150 W plug in adapter (3 prongs!) on the back of the centre console which makes it convenient for charging and whatever else you would need a plug-in for!

It’s quiet

There were several times after I started the Ford C-Max that I didn’t think it was started. You couldn’t tell when standing outside the vehicle or even when sitting in the drivers seat! The quietness of the vehicle didn’t end there though. When going for a drive we hopped on the highway and when going 100km/hr you could have a full conversation even from the backseat.  No competing with the highway noise in this vehicle!

Fuel economy of the Ford C-Max Hybrid SE

Driving around the city, a trip to the park, highway driving and more fuel consumption is 5.6L/100km but I only drove through a little more than 1/4 tank of gas in a week because you’re also using the battery power. The funnest thing about this vehicle is that the battery recharges itself when you coast and brake slowly – it’s something that I was always trying to do!

The backseat

That’s the big question for anyone that has kids. “How many carseats can it fit?” Being a parent of 3 kids naturally it was mine too!

The Ford C-Max has 2 carseat tethers and clips on both ends and with the right configuration it is possible to get 3 carseats in the back! (I would however suggest carseats with a skinnier base)

The trunk

With a hatch back opening there is ample space that’s for sure! My double stroller with both seats fit perfectly plus there was a bit of room to spare. Perfect for a large grocery shop, road trip and more. There is also a cover that you can pull over and cover the the trunk!

The Verdict

The Ford C-Max Hybrid SE was a great car to drive around for a week. With so many fun options from trying to charge the battery, the trunk space and plug in to the quietness of the vehicle all around I loved it and so did the kids!
