Last night Kris and I had the chance to check out the the new Nando’s location in Clearview at 13324-50st.
The evening started off with some drinks + appetizers. We decided to start off with some sangria and also checked out the Coke Freestyle machine. With over 100 drink mix options, Kris and I tried the lime soda as well as Ginger ale with cherry and Vanilla. (It’s actually pretty good)
We munched on Olives and Garlic, PERi-PERi Nuts, Garlic Bread,PERi-PERi sliders, Hummus and Roaster Red Pepper Dip accompanied with some pita bread.
While waiting for more food we had a chance to visit a make your own PERi-PERi sauce station. On a scale of 1-10 ours was maybe a 5…although thats because I am a wimp. Kris would have made it a 10.
More food was brought to us and this time is was their famous Portuguese flame-grilled PERi-PERi Chicken and PERi-PERi fries. The PERinaise that comes with the fries is super tasty and the chicken is some of the best I have tasted.
The best thing about the food at Nando’s is that they don’t use MSG, which is good for us as Kris has an allergy to it. All flavours are 100% authentic, and 100% delicious!
The night was finished off with Natas which is a Portuguese Custard Tart, and let me tell you it’s very yummy!
We can’t wait to bring the kids to Nando’s to try even more delicious food, and now that it’s in North Edmonton I’m sure this will easily become one of our favourite go to restaurants.
Nando’s will be open on Saturday September 10th 11am-11pm. To get more information about their opening follow them on Facebook and for for dine-in and take out menu options check out their website.
