Giant pumpkins, mini midway, & more at the Smoky Lake Pumpkin Fair 9/30-10/2

This weekend put the 28th annual Smoky Lake Pumpkin Weigh-Off & Fair of your list of things to do with the family. 

Taking place Friday, September 30th – October 2nd with the majority of activities taking place on Saturday, Oct 1st  this is the day to plan to attend.

Activities at the Complex

See and touch some of the largest pumpkins that you have ever seen at the Pumpkin Weigh-Off, shop the farmers market; visit the smoky lake museum and more!

Kids activities include a mini-midway, petting zoo, face painting, and balloons.Admission into the Complex is $10 for adults, $5 for 8-17yrs, and kids 7 & under is free.

Around Smoky Lake

From 8am-11am go for a pancake breakfast, see some classic cars at the Show & Shine downtown, check out the garage sale, explore the Ukrainian culture and more.

You can walk from downtown to the Complex grounds but there is also a shuttle service available. If you plan on taking the shuttle, park downtown! Get more details and the times for all activities here!

The Pumpkin Drop

Starting at 5:30pm the pumpkin drop is one of the coolest things to see! Dropped from 250ft in the air from a crane, you will see several pumpkins dropped and even some car-crushing happening. Taking place in the large field behind the museum. There is plenty of room to watch outside in the field. 

Smoky Lake is located a little over 1 hour Northeast of Edmonton, making this the perfect destination and day trip for this time of year!
