The Festival of Trees is a favourite event for many families to attend in Edmonton over the holiday season. Taking place this week November 24th-27th at the Shaw Conference Centre it’s a fun-filled event for everyone!
Getting there
The Shaw Conference Centre is located at 9797 Jasper Ave with several parades and parking lots close by. Want to Park & Ride? You can access the Shaw Conference Centre via the pedways from the Citadel and Canada Place.
Admission & hours for The Festival of Trees
Admission is $10/Adult (18yrs+), $5/Seniors (65yrs+), $5/Youth (13-17yrs), $2/Child (2-12yrs), and $2/special needs & companions. They are open November 24th-26th 9:00am-9:00pm & November 27th 9:00am-5:00pm

Free activities
There are many free activities to take in while at The Festival of Trees. Check out the decorated Christmas trees, gingerbread houses, and cakes. Also see many different performances, explore Canada’s first stroke ambulance, write a letter to Santa, listen to some holiday stories, visit Santa’s in his den and take pictures and more.
Paid activities
There are several activities that you can do that range from 1-5 coupons. Make a Christmas ornament, decorate a gingerbread cookie, visit the tempory tattoo booth, decorate a mini Christmas tree, and play the hockey shoot game. Coupons can be purchased at the Festival of Trees or through the app for $1/each.
Family Night
Enjoy all the regular activities offered plus a fun family scavenger hunt in the indoor winter wonderland. Don’t forget to bring your favourite stuffed toy for a check-up in the Hospital Room. Adults are $9/each and kids 12& under are free when accompanied by an adult.
Secret Shop
Send your kids into the Secret Shop where they can Christmas shop for friends and family. This child-only area has volunteers available to assist with shopping, items cost $3-$5/each, and it’s cash only.
Treats and other shopping
From the famous Festival Nanaimo Cup to the other festive gift wares available for purchase. Shop from a selection of gifts great for the men in your life, check out the candy corner , and shop from local Canadian gifts for teachers, caregivers, and many others!
