Camping meals made easy with Simply Supper + Giveaway
Planning a camping trip also means planning your meals which in itself can be a huge pain. This is especially true if you are wanting to have meals that are more than the typical camping fare (hand waving frantically over here). But what I have found to be effective over many years of food prep is to make ahead meals for camping, as it saves a lot of time when it comes to making the food on your camping trip. Why not give this a go next time you plan your next outing.
There is, however, one problem. While the idea of making delicious homemade food over the campfire seems wonderfully divine the fact that you also have to plan and make room for all of the ingredients and prepare the meal is a huge pain. Luckily that’s where Simply Supper comes in.
Aimed at making your life easier the Simply Supper logan is “We make it Simple to eat homemade Suppers!” which is exactly what happened when we went camping on May Long Weekend.
Our May Long Weekend Meals
Packed with delicious meals for breakfast and dinner (we don’t usually do lunch when camping) we dined on:
- Eggs Benedict Bake
- Italian Sausage and Red Pepper Frittata
- Avocado & Black Bean Salad
- Maple Balsamic Brussel Sprouts
- Bacon Cheddar Cheese Burgers
- Beer & Lime Pork Kabobs
- Chicken Souvlaki
- S’More Cheesecake (this may or may not have been shared)
Let me tell you how awesome it is to wake up in the morning or start to prepare your dinner, but not really have to do a whole lot. Our dishes took more time and effort than making our meals did. This, in turn, gave us more time to spend with the kids, making memories, enjoying our camping trip all while eating some delicious (kid-pleasing) meals. Win – Win.
Priced affordably at $39 for a single meal or $200-215 for your selection of 6 meals (all of which feed a family of 4-6), when you do the math we would have spent a comparable amount buying the actual ingredients for the same meals.
