See amazing sand sculptures at Sand on Whyte June 30-July 9

Normally you’d have to take a trip to the beach to see some amazing sand sculptures but luckily Sand on Whyte is just about here and you’ll be amazed.

See amazing sand sculptures at Sand on Whyte

Started in 2013 to create a summer version of Ice on Whyte, this year’s festival runs June 30th – July 9th 10am-10pm daily.

This year professional sand carving artists, Peter Vogelaar and Guy-Olivier Deveau will create masterpieces as well as mentor local artists in creating a signature 150 celebration sculpture.

Admission to Sand on Whyte is by donation, and you can find it located on the CP Rail land in the northeast corner of Whyte Avenue and Gateway Blvd, Edmonton.

Want a chance to be a part of sand carving magic (and enjoy these amazing sculptures for free)? Sand on Whyte is still looking for volunteers to help out for 10am-4pm and 4pm-10pm shifts. If you’re interested email volunteer@iceonwhyte.ca
