There’s a new way to meet other local moms here in Edmonton and it’s via the app Social.mom which is launching this Thursday, Aug 3rd.

It takes a village that’s for sure! Created as a social network for moms, the app features a place for you to talk to other local moms via a chat, a calendar to set up and invite moms to meet up, a place to post offers and items to sell (now you know what to do with those toys you no longer need), it also suggests other moms that have children the same age as yours plus more!

To celebrate their launch Social.mom is bringing their big pink mom-mobile to Jackie Parker Park on Thursday, Aug 3rd and hosting a mom meet up from 3-5pm. This event will have free face painting, games for the kids and 400$ worth of door prizes.

Also be sure to download the app by Friday, August 11th as they will be drawing for one Snuza baby monitor worth 190$ for all new users who live in Edmonton.
