Giant pumpkin drop, midway, & more at the Smoky Lake Pumpkin Fair Oct 7

You’re going to want to make the Smoky Lake Pumpkin Fair part of your weekend plans October 6th – 8th.

Smoky Lake Pumpkin Fair 2017

Located approximately 2 hours from Edmonton the majority of the family-friendly activities take place on Saturday, October 7th at the complex

Throughout the day at the complex, you can shop at the farmers market for all things pumpkin and more, watch the giant pumpkin weigh-off, visit the petting zoo, and go on rides at the midway.

There are also activities taking place around Smoky Lake which include a pancake breakfast, show and shine, another farmers market, Ukrainian food, and so much more.

You’re going to want to stay until 5:30 to watch the giant pumpkins get hoisted up into the air and dropped onto vehicles. It’s pretty cool to watch and one of the most anticipated things for my kids to watch. This takes place in the field by the Agricom.

**A shuttle bus will be available throughout the day traveling between town and the complex!

Don’t forget to bring some cash with you! Most events are free to watch and experience with the exception of admission into the pumpkin weigh-off (7 & under free, 8-17yrs/$5, and adults/$10, midway) & other kids activities.

For other fall activities to do with the kids check out these 35 activities to add to your fall bucket list.
