If you’re looking for a place to get away for the weekend sans kids Luna Glamping at the new Northern Lights Resort is opening in February and it’s definitely one place that you’ll want to consider.
The Luna takes Glamping to a whole new level, a 3-meter spherical structure suspended from the trees or sitting on the ground with attachable feet. This unit is for those who want to feel natures at its purest; there is no better feeling than going to sleep while marveling at the stars and waking up to the beautiful sunrise.
The new resort will be located on Kearl Lake which is a little over 2 hours North of Fort McMurray with packages starting at $360 per night for double occupancy. There are 10 luxurious rooms available starting on February 1st.
Prices include travel to and from the resort from Fort McMurray, Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner for you to cook yourself, as well as Ice Fishing supplies and coaching, hiking, nature tours and local Aboriginal traditions around trapping and lifestyle in the area. There are also 2 common areas and a lounge.
As of right now, booking can only be made for people 18 years and older, however, this might change come Spring.
