Celebrate Valentine’s Day with Build-A-Bear + a $50 Gift Card Giveaway

If there is one thing that says Valentine’s Day to my kids it’s a stuffed animal, so what better way to celebrate the day of love than to create a special Valentine’s Day stuffed animal at Build-A-Bear in West Edmonton Mall.

Build-A-Bear in 7 steps

From start to finish there are 7 steps to create your own character! 

Choose me – The first step to picking your special character! Sophie chose one of the bears from the Valentine’s Day collection while Carter and Finn both chose a Pokemon character.

Hear me – Here you can choose to record your very own message or choose from one of their many popular phrases and sounds. (The kids had so much fun listening to all of them!) 

Stuff me – Where you get to help stuff your own bear and where you also add the special heart which includes your own very special wish. The one thing that I liked about this section was that you could also add more or less stuffing. Finley likes stuffed animals that are more firm so this was a great option for him!

Fluff me – Where you can spruce your bear with by brushing it and fluffing it up. 

Dress me – Build-A-Bear has so many options for clothing and accessories including special Valentine’s Day options to go with your Valentine’s Day character. This is probably where we spent the most amount of time ensuring that the outfits were perfect. 

 

Name me – You can either choose a name yourself or there are suggestions for you too. When getting ready to take your special keepsake home you are also provided with a birth certificate with their name and date of birth! 

Take me home – Choose from a box, bag, or even a backpack. All 3 of the kids chose a backpack which looked adorable when they were walking through the mall. 

Order your Valentine’s Build-A-Bear online

The great thing about Build-A-Bear is that you can also create a Valentine’s Day character online and have it sent to the person that you are making it for (or even yourself). There is even the option to record a message of your own or choose one of the many phrases or sounds, online making it just that much more personable.
