In the market for a new-to-you bike? You’re going to want to put the Edmonton Bike Swap on your calendar that’s for sure!
Taking place on May 12th, this year the Edmonton Bike Swap will be at a new location which is: Kinsmen Sports Centre Fieldhouse, 9100 Walterdale Hill.
Things to know about shopping the Edmonton Bike Swap
The fee to sell your bike is $15 rack fee, AMA members save $5 and also 13% of the of the sale price
Drop off for consigning bikes is 8:00 am – 2:00 pm, you will need to know the manufacturer, model name-number, colour, serial number, AMA membership number, and selling price
Prices are set by you, and the key to selling is to price competitively! Be sure to include all the details about the bike (Upgrades, upkeep, original price paid etc.) Bikes also have to be immediately rideable.
You can shop for bikes from 2:30-4:00 pm, however in Edmonton people start lining up as early as 6:00 am

Bikes go through a basic check and prices range from $50-$4000
Admission to get into the sale is $2, kids 12 and under are free
If your bike hasn’t sold at the end of the day you will receive a call to come and pick your bike. They do have a 92% sale rate so chances are it will sell and your payment will be mailed via cheque.
The swap will have children’s bikes for purchase and if you have a children’s bike to consign it needs to be a better quality bike, that is not from a box store.
If you have a bike that you want to donate, you can donate between 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. Bikes that are donated stay in the city or it’s surrounding area to help those in need.
Cash and debit are the only methods of payment that are accepted at the sale.
