4 Tips for Taking Your Kids School Photos

Kids School Photos

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of The Mobile Shop. All opinions are 100% mine.

It’s that time of year again! The kids have started school, they’re into a routine, and school picture season is upon us. But what if this year you decided to take your own?

4 Tips for Taking Your Kids School Photos

I’ll be honest with you, we don’t buy school photos and instead opt to take our own instead. Relaxed smiles and natural poses are what we prefer and here are some tips to do just that!

Use Your Phone

You don’t have to be a pro to take good pictures. The technology in smartphones these days give the average person the ability to produce quality pictures that are just as good or even better than when they are taken with a camera, a good smartphone is all anyone needs.

The Mobile Shop is located in select Loblaw banner stores and gives you access to the latest smartphones which include many with excellent cameras and accessories to help you up your picture taking game

With rate plans that include all major carriers, the staff that work at The Mobile Shop can offer you unbiased information to help you pick the best phone for yourself, your picture taking, and your family.

Make It Fun

Photo sessions with kids will not be a success unless it’s fun. Tell jokes, funny stories, make funny faces, and anything that will make it more relaxed. I am also not beyond bribing so bringing a few treats is always part of the plan.

The great thing about The Mobile Shop is that you can earn PC Optimum Points with your purchases which can be used to grab those bribing snacks. The more relaxed it is, the more natural the photos will look.

Locations and Props

The place that you choose to take your pictures doesn’t have to be far away, and sometimes all you need is your backyard. If that’s not an option, other places can include an area with a large tree to sit on or lean against playground, or even a large grassy area with a beautiful blanket.

If you’re looking to add a little bit more personality of your child into the photo, adding something from their favourite activities can also be a great way to do that.

There’s an App for That

From beginning to end, different apps can help you along the way! Whether you’re mapping out the locations that you are going to or are looking for some photo inspiration, everything that you need is at your fingertips.

Once you’ve finished taking the pictures, there are a bunch of different apps that can help you to edit your photos, create picture collages, and even order the sizes and number of photos that you need all conveniently from your smartphone!
