Review: Really RAD Robots YakBot

YakBot

YakBots are a fit in the palm of your hand, lightweight toy that come in three different colours, white, blue, and red. I recently received some in the mail and here’s what we loved about them.

Review: Really RAD Robots YakBot

Built especially for fun and mischief, it’s Really Rad Robots! Introducing YakBot, your back-chattin’ buddy! You can record your voice and change it with cool effects. YakBot can answer questions with an added bonus–pull pranks on your friends!

The main feature of the YakBot is that it can record what you say and repeat it back verbatim with options to change the pitch and 4 voice filters (pitch shift, robot, echo, and reverse).

Finley, who was able to get the hang of the voice record pretty quick has spent days recording what he’s saying and replaying it back all day long. Carter brought his to school one day and spent a recess entertaining friends with it and especially enjoys the voice filters.

Another feature that the YakBot has is that answers your questions, however, it is more like an 8 ball with a handful of options that reply back randomly rather than unique answers. The last feature is the prank option which counts down and makes an explosion noise.

As a toy that is priced around $20, I feel that it still does more than what other toys in the same price range have done and it is something that I would purchase as a gift for kids!

You can find the YakBot at both Toys R Us and Walmart online and in store.

We received the Really RAD Robots YakBot in exchange for a review. All opinions are our own.
