What are some of your favourite Edmonton Christmas Light Displays? For as long as I can remember, leading up to Christmas we’ve spent many nights driving around checking out the beautiful decorations in and around Edmonton and this year will be no different!

Greenland Garden Centre – Until December 31st
Grab a hot chocolate from their in-house restaurant and take a stroll to see some of the best-decorated trees around! Upside down trees, unique ornaments, beautiful displays and more.

Enjoy Light Festival –  November 21st-January 5th 
The Enjoy Light Festival celebrates the holiday season by bringing “winter to life” with hundreds of lights displays that are spread across the Enjoy Centre’s greenhouse spaces. Each section in the festival is designed to create a unique experience as you walk through the different attractions. Some of the sections include Santa’s Workshop, The Enchanted Forest, Little’s Land, Arctic Cove, Candyland, Aurora Park, Whimsy Way and more.

Magic of Lights – November 22nd – January 4th 
Open for the third year, drive through 2km of Holiday Light Displays and animations at Castrol Raceway. This is definitely one place to visit!

Fort Saskatchewan Enchanted Forrest – November 22 – January 7
The Enchanted Forest is a favourite holiday tradition in the City of Fort Saskatchewan. Local organizations and businesses create unique, beautiful, fun Christmas trees that reflect the wonderful colours and themes of the holiday season with a special touch that tells the story of the organization.

Zoominescence – Opens December 6th 
This December, Zoominescence, hosted by the Valley Zoo Development Society, will stage a spectacular exhibition of artistic light installations within the unique setting of the Edmonton Valley Zoo. The festival’s vision is to celebrate light, artistry, imagination and the strong spirit of our community in the winter. Join us for an evening of light, animals, skating, hot chocolate and fun for the whole family! Running every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, plus the 26th!

Each year the CP Holiday Train makes several stops across Alberta to showcase the beautifully decorated train cars, live entertainment, and more. This year the closest locations to Edmonton are Camrose, Wetaskiwin, and Ponoka!

A must-see Christmas attraction in Edmonton! Drive down Candy Cane Lane, park and walk it or book a hayride!  Don’t forget to bring your letter to mail to Santa and a donation to the Edmonton Food Bank.

Located in West Edmonton, this is another house that we discovered in the past few years! Last year they added ‘Let it Go’ to the light show this year and still have all the other great Christmas songs!

There are a few great places in St.Albert that have amazing lights displays! We love spending an evening driving around to look at them with Hot Chocolate in hand (our favourite is Elliot Place)
