When all schoolwork was transitioned into online learning in April, I was confident that we would make the best of the situation. Schedules and plans were made, supplemental school workbooks were purchased, and we went full throttle. But it didn’t go as planned…
There were many times where everything would end in tears (for all of us), and we had barely even started the Google Classroom assignments that were already past due from the previous week. Things had to change and in May I contacted Tasha from BrightMinds Tutoring.
Get to Know BrightMinds Tutoring
What started as a way to make some extra money during high school, Tasha has always had a passion for learning and a love for children, which started BrightMinds Tutoring. Currently, Tasha is attending University where she is majoring in mathematics with a minor in psychology and one day hopes to have a career as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist.
The vision for BrightMinds Tutoring is to provide students with better strategies and tools to help them succeed. This includes one on one tutoring, monitoring and tracking of grades as well as any education apps/accounts.
Our Experience with BrightMinds Tutoring
The first thing that Tasha did was ask for the login information for Google Classroom and any other apps that my kids were using for school. This helped her to evaluate where the kids were and to also create a learning plan. Insert a huge sigh of relief.
Thankfully our trailer is parked in our backyard and has a pretty spacious table area. This is where they set up every Tuesday and Thursday for 1.5 hours each until the end of the school year. At my request, Tasha also created an educational binder for basic math and English assignments that could be done at our pace throughout the summer.
Safety During Tutoring
Safety is on everyone’s minds these days, and BrightMinds is committed to making all students experience safe and fun. This includes washing hands before and after working with students, maintaining 2m distance, and wearing masks.
Tutoring services are available in your home and also outside the home in the BrightMinds Tutoring home office. To learn more about registering your child, pricing, and more you can visit their website here.
