Loblaws City Market has been one of our favourite places to grab fun cakes for birthdays and other celebrations on the cheap for a while now.

Our first experience with one of the cakes here was a Hamburger theme cake for my husband’s birthday a few years back. It was picked out by my kids, and I honestly didn’t know what to expect because it looked good, but how would it taste for under $10?
Pretty darn good is how it tasted and that’s why we’ve continued to purchase them.
Delicious and affordable, there are usually several theme options to choose from which include animals, campfires, beaches, and more. These 8-inch cakes are also the perfect serving amount for what we need, with no leftovers.
Of course, there are other cake size options for you to choose from which can serve more people, other popular flavours like Black Forest Cake and Carrot Cake and of course different decorative themes.
