Little Aspen Playschool Society
Little Aspen Playschool is a non-profit, parent co-operative preschool located in the heart of Aspen Gardens in Southwest Edmonton. We have been a fixture in the beautiful community of Aspen Gardens for over 25 years. The playschool is located in a stand-alone building with our own private space.
Our non-profit status allows us to stay true to our core values. We offer small class sizes, provide a 3 hour, play-oriented program for three and 4-year-olds that encourages the development of physical and intellectual abilities, contributes to the development of positive self-esteem, and promotes the desire to learn and develop socially, emotionally and creatively.
At Little Aspen Playschool, we strive to give our students the best first learning experience and prepare them for Kindergarten. Children get exposed to different activities and carefully chosen centers to help build their gross and fine motor skills. Play-oriented activities such as painting, singing, role-playing, storytelling, and movement make up the core of our programming. We also offer a daily outdoor time when weather permits. Little Aspen’s two teachers are committed to creating a fun, happy, and secure place for your child where they can benefit from socialization with peers.

Ermineskin Community Preschool
The Ermineskin Community Preschool is a parent co-oped preschool. This means that you as parents are involved with jobs around the preschool such as play dough maker and special activities coordinator.
We have a dedicated teacher and teaching assistant that have adopted the learn through play philosophy. We offer both 3 year old and 4 year old programming and have a dedicated gym space that adds to some of the fun the kids have.

LCDS Preschool & Kindergarten
LCDS is a distinctive early learning program in that we offer both preschool and kindergarten in a combined classroom setting. We follow a ‘Learning through play” philosophy, in a language rich and fun environment.
Under the guidance of our teachers, children aged 3, 4 and 5 attend together in the same classroom where they are introduced to a daily structured routine, balanced with learning and play. The program focuses on age appropriate development of the child’s language, vocabulary, social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth and development. The teacher introduces the children to daily kindergarten curriculum concepts and focuses on Kindergarten readiness for all children. Children develop a strong foundation for future educational success.
A love of learning is encouraged in every child through structured activities, free play, daily projects, monthly themes and circle time. Special events such as seasonal parties, family events, field trips and in-class presentations are also included to enhance the learning process. Parent involvement plays a key role in the success of the program.

Small Sprouts Preschool
Small Sprouts is a home-based preschool that fuses early literacy and numeracy with play. Your child will develop social and emotional skills and advance cognitively and intellectually through structured and free play programming, preparing them for Kindergarten.
Classes are small (6 students), no fundraising or parent volunteers needed. Teacher holds a B.Ed. Two separate morning classes run from 9-11:30 – M/W/F and T/Th. New: With enough interest an afternoon class will run from 12:15-3:15 – T/Th.

The objective of WEPS is to provide an enriching pre-kindergarten school experience for children between the ages of 3 to 5 years. The play school provides opportunities to play and learn within the structure and direction given by the teachers.
WEPS is a non-profit parent cooperative, in which parents must remain informed about the play school and provide support by volunteering and helping out where needed. Parental involvement helps keep tuition fees low.

Located in west Edmonton, our preschool welcomes 3 and 4-year-olds to our learn-through-play program. LEARN THROUGH PLAY! We are a fully licensed, non-profit, community-based playschool run by a dedicated group of volunteers striving to enrich our children’s lives. At North Glenora Playschool your child will learn to explore the world around them through fun and engaging activities.
Play is universal. All children, from all cultures and all countries, play. Play is a child-directed, intrinsically motivated activity. Play is the process by which young children develop and grow. Within the classroom, our goal is to set up a play environment in which children can increase their self-concept with success through activities. Our structured activities and play centres have themes which change on a regular basis and are geared towards your child’s physical, language, intellectual, social-emotional, and creative development.
We are currently accepting registrations for the 3 and 4 year old classes. If your child is 3 years old by March 1, 2023 they are eligible to register for the 3-year-old program, or 4 years old by December 31, 2022 for the 4-year-old program.
