Born and raised in Edmonton I am proud to call this wonderful city my home. Kris is my husband, and we are high school sweethearts and have been married since 2007. We have 3 kids who I have no doubt will do big things in this world! They also keep us on our toes and nothing is ever boring in our home.
In 2004 I graduated from the Social Work Diploma program at MacEwan and began working at Winnifred Stewart Association which provides supports to adults with developmental disabilities.
From 2004-2008, I worked as a Service Coordinator with individuals coming into the WSA Day Services program. In 2008 I moved into a Community Connector role where I supported individuals to discover their goals and dream through employment, volunteerism, and recreation activities.
I was also fortunate to be able to work relief shifts in the homes that are owned and operated by WSA, and while I resigned from my Community Connector position in 2016, I continued to work Outreach for some of the individuals that live in the semi-independent suites until 2018.
How Just Another Edmonton Mommy Came To Be
Just Another Edmonton Mommy was started in December 2013 as an extension of Bun in the Oven Consignment, an online maternity consignment business.
I quickly realized that I didn’t like writing about maternity clothes and fashion but because I was working at WSA as a Community Connector I would receive information about events and activities taking place in Edmonton. Much of this information that I would receive however was better suited for families with children and I started to write about it.
Since then Just Another Edmonton Mommy has become one of Edmonton’s most trusted and trafficked websites for families.
If you’re looking for an authentic blogger to work with your brand you’ve come to the right place.
