The Canadian Legacy Project has recently partnered with GoodLife Fitness to provide a new program called Vet Fit. This new program is offered to former members of the Canadian Armed Forces that underwent basis training and were honourably discharged.
According to the 2013 Synthesis of Life After Service Studies report, the prevalence of health problems such as Arthritis, back problems, heart problems mental health conditions and more were higher in veterans than ∗regular Canadians.
With many Canadian veterans living in poverty and without basic necessities having a program such as Vet Fit that helps veterans to have access to an affordable gym membership is very important. Especially when regular exercise is so integral in helping to maintain mental health and aid with easing other health problems.
Gym memberships with GoodLife Fitness are being offered at a yearly cost of $299.00 (plus applicable taxes). Veterans are required to pay the fee upfront and are able to add an additional family member to the account. (Each membership is valued at over $800/person.)
With this partnership between The Canadian Legacy Project and GoodLife Fitness it is helping veterans all over Canada to live the healthy and active lifestyle that they want and should be able to live.
If you want to know more about the Vet Fit program or want to sign up you can find all the information on The Canadian Legacy website.
