Ahhh the time change, basically the start of my excitement for summer. More light in the evenings and warmer weather it just gets better and better. Not to mention all of the fun programs that get you out of the house for some fun on a budget and some exercise!
Last week Kids Bowl Free opened up their registration which will allow kids in Edmonton to bowl for free over the summer! This free summer bowling program has been around for several years, goes from June-Aug (locations start times vary) and it is open to kids 2 -15 yrs. Each child that is enrolled will receive 2 free bowling games a day. The only thing that you need to pay for are the shoe rentals! ($3-$5)
Another added bonus is Kids Bowl Free also gives you the option to buy a pass for up to 4 adults to participate during the bowling as well. The people don’t have to reside in your household so it’s the perfect opportunity to sign up a favourite aunt or uncle, family friend, or even the grandparents! The price is $26.95 USD which as of today equals to $35.64!

- Bonnie Doon Bowling Lanes (May 1 – Aug 28)
- Gateway Entertainment Centre (June 1 – Aug 31)
- St. Albert Bowling and Rec Centre (May 1 – Aug 28)
- Sherwood Bowl (May 1 – Aug 28)
Some important things to remember are that only one location can be selected for the sign up and each bowling alley has different hours for the kids bowl free program. If you don’t think that you are going to use this program during the summer but are going to be taking a trip somewhere this is a perfect activity! (Banff & Calgary bowling alleys are on list)
