Apple Pie Pizza. Need I say more? It’s delicious and sweet and so easy to make!
With my obsession with making all the things from pizza dough, this is one thing my husband can’t get enough of. He has even requested is as his ‘birthday cake’ next year…in July…
Apple Pie Pizza Ingredients
- Pizza Dough (Make your own with this recipe, or use store-bought)
- 5 apples (your choice)
- 1 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup of flour
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup icing sugar
Directions
- Put oven on to 400°
- Mix 3/4 cup of flour, 1 cup of brown sugar, and 3 tablespoons of butter in a bowl until it makes a crumbly consistency and place to the side.
- Peel and chop apples into small pieces
- Add chopped apples, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 tsp of cinnamon, and 3 tablespoons of butter to a pan. Cook on medium heat until the apples are soft and the liquid is a syrup consistency. If you feel that this is too sweet for you, you can add 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice.
- Put raw pizza dough in the oven for 4-5 minutes, pull out and spread apple mixture on top of the pizza and then sprinkle the flour/ brown sugar mixture over top.
- Place in the oven for 7-10 minutes or until the edges of the crust are brown
- Milk and icing sugar together until mixed entirely, the mixture should be the consistency of syrup.
- Take apple pie pizza out of the oven when finished cooking and let cool for a few minutes
- Pour icing sugar icing over top and serve warm
This Apple Pie Pizza is enough to feed 8-10 people. If you are making my dough recipe it is enough dough to cover a regular sized baking sheet. Also, while it never lasts that long in my home, when covered properly it would freeze well too!
