Spending time as a family with an indoor picnic + McDonalds Chicken McNuggets

McDonald’s Chicken McNuggets

McDonald's Chicken McNuggets

Last week was hectic. We were in the thick of last minute shopping for school, Carter started grade one and work has been crazy busy for Kris as well. This weekend was the first weekend in a long time that we actually spent in Edmonton, and also just as a family. We definitely needed some family time; there was no doubt about that.

In true September fashion the weather didn’t cooperate with our plans of having a picnic at a local park on Saturday. Instead we had an indoor picnic at home and we gave Carter and Sophie the task of setting up. They also brought a few friends to join us.

We also gave the kids the option of choosing what to have for dinner and of course their choice was a McDonald’s Chicken McNuggets Kids Meal with fries and chocolate milk. It’s pretty much their chosen meal when given the option to eat out, and because McDonald’s Chicken McNuggets are made with 100% seasoned white breast meat and also have no preservatives it’s something that we all love to indulge in and food that we have confidence in.

Chicken McNuggets

As we shared family time, surrounded by stuffed animals, lots of laughter, and yummy food it was a reminder that we need to make more time for family time. We decided that having indoor picnics are definitely a tradition worth keeping…and of course we won’t forget to include the Chicken McNuggets.

McDonald’s sponsored this post however, all opinions expressed and content is my own.
