It’s May long and the nice weather is upon us. Normally I don’t do a weekend roundup but there are so many things happening around Edmonton to do with the kids.
What to do with kids around Edmonton during May long weekend
The only question is, how many things will you try to fit into this may long weekend!
Get your ice cream fix at one of the three 80 flavours locations
Explore some history at Fort Edmonton Park
Go swimming at one of Edmonton’s outdoor pools
Take the High Level Bridge Streetcar to Whyte Ave and shop at the Strathcona Market
Pack a picnic and spend the day at one of Edmonton’s Spray Parks
Go on a hike and search for Buffalo at Elk Island Park (Admission is free)
Drive out to Fort Sask for a banana split at the Downtown Diner
Go to the Midway at Mill Woods Town Centre
Explore the new Edmonton Aerial Park at Snow Valley. Kids as young as 3 and 100 cm to 140 cm can explore up to 19 challenges on the first level.

Grab a gourmet hot dog at Fat Franks Restaurant
Drive out to the Alberta Railway Museum (20 mins North of Edmonton) to explore old trains and go on some train rides
Go on a paddle boat ride at Rundle Park or Hawrelak Park

I wish I read this on Friday. Weekend was a little boring but had a hot dog at Fat Franks. Also went to Stathcona market. I like the idea of going to Fort Sask. as a day trip
