On July 31st, the CP Canada 150 Train is coming to Edmonton and the whole family is invited to come and enjoy Canadian themed activities and entertainment.
CP Canada 150 Train activities
Taking place from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm the CP Canada 150 Train will feature Canadian entertainment from Dallas Arcand, champion Aboriginal hoop dancer, Juno award-winning country music singer Dean Brody, as well as Juno award winner Eagle and Hawk.
Other family friendly activities include decorating your own conductor hat and colour CP posters at the Kids Craft Station, enjoying a complimentary celebration treat (while supplies last), taking a life-sized photographic tour of CP’s past and learning about the railway’s role in Connecting Canada, as well as taking a photo in a cutout of the CP 2816 Empress, a class H1b Hudson-type steam locomotive.
Kids are also invited to write their hopes for the Canada of tomorrow on a commemorative card which will be affixed upon the railcar and as the CP Canada 150 Train makes its journey across the country, the Spirit of Tomorrow will come alive.
The final Spirit of Tomorrow car will be included in CP’s 2017 Holiday Train program for everyone to see.
Three Things for Canada
To celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday, you’re invited to give the gift of three things – three acts of service. They can be large or small and if you’re not sure what to do, each event will have ideas to share.
The goal is to get every Canadian to do 3 acts of service all while celebration Canada!
