Easy & Delicious: The Best Italian Pasta Salad You’ll Ever Make

If you’re anything like me, you want to spend as little time in the kitchen making meals and more time enjoying all that summer brings. On those especially hot days, a hot kitchen is anything less than desirable and this easy Italian Pasta Salad is a delicious one-stop meal that the whole family will love!

The best Italian Pasta Salad

Shared with me by a local mom here in Edmonton who knows a thing or two about making meals on a budget, all ingredients cost me $25. This recipe easily serves a family of 5 for dinner, plus leftovers for lunch the next day making it just $2.50/serving.

Best Italian Pasta Salad Recipe

Italian Pasta Salad Ingredients

1 – 500g package of Italian Sausage
1 – 500g Box of Bow Tie Pasta
1 – Cucumber, cubed
1 – Pepper, sliced
1/2 – Red Onion, sliced
1 – 375ml can of sliced Black Olives, drained
1 – 150g container of Feta cheese
2 – Carrots, chopped
3 – Celery Stalks, chopped
1/2 bottle – Italian dressing (I like Newman’s Own)
2 tsp – White Vinegar
Dash of Garlic Powder
Dash of Oregano
Salt & pepper to taste
Olive Oil

Directions

Cook pasta, and mix in a little bit of olive oil to prevent sticking together
Cook Italian sausage until it’s not pink in the middle and chop into desired sized pieces
Mix in the rest of the ingredients as well as spices
Toss together and let sit for a couple of hours or overnight in the fridge
Leftovers can be kept in the fridge for 3 days.

Do you have a variation of this delicious Italian Pasta Salad? What do you do different, or what ingredients would you try?

Looking for other delicious salads? Make you try this Broccoli Salada, it’s the Best Broccoli Salad that you will ever make!
